This season, America’s Got Talent will have a wildcard in the Finals, and there’s a vote coming up this week to decide which eliminated act will receive the honor. Viewers will only have four acts to choose from, as decided by the judges.
The AGT Wildcard Vote Takes Place This Week
Throughout the live shows, AGT host Terry Crews has teased that there will be a wildcard in the finale, joining the 10 acts who make it through the Qualifiers thanks to America’s vote. With the Finals coming up next week, it’s time to start preparing for that wildcard vote.
As Crews has explained, each of the four judges will choose one eliminated act to be considered for the wildcard spot. The show’s viewers at home will then vote for their favorite of the four. The act with the most votes will go to the live shows.
We now know that this vote will take place on Wednesday, September 7. Eliminated contestant Don McMillan shared some more information about the vote on his YouTube channel this week. He said he “could get nominated,” and if he is, he wants fans to vote for him.
According to Don, viewers will only have one hour to vote for their choice. No matter which time zone you’re in, the vote will be open during the East Coast broadcast at 8 p.m. ET. Fans can vote for their favorite acts on the NBC website or through the AGT app.

This is the second wildcard vote of the season. Comedian Jordan Conley was decide upon earlier this season, ahead of the Qualifiers Round. Many fans are excited to see Conley perform on Tuesday night in the AGT live shows.
