Hell’s Kitchen will officially return to FOX for season 21 of the long-running show. This television phenomenon began in 2005 and will continue its series early next year. Do you think you have what it takes to work beside Gordon Ramsay? Apply to be on the show.
To apply for the show, you must be 21 years or older. Within your application, you will be prompted to share a photo of yourself, three photos of your best dishes, and an optional short video. The application then will ask you basic information about yourself. These include how you became a chef, what restaurants you’ve worked in, what some of your best dishes are, allergies/dietary restrictions, etc.
Within the application, it states filming is set to take place from January 2022 – early March 2022. The show’s casting website does not list when casting will be closed. If you’re interested in taking part, you shouldn’t wait to apply.
When Will Season 21 Premiere?
From a filming period from January 2022 to early March 2022, viewers should expect this cooking show to return to FOX late spring or summer of 2022. Although it’s entirely possible the premiere date could be shifted to fall dependent on how filming actually goes (mostly in relation to COVID-19 protocols).
The show will once again return with 18 hopeful chefs from all around the country. They’ll be competing for their chance to be the next Hell’s Kitchen winner in Las Vegas, Nevada. Winners of the series receive two prizes. They win a cash prize of $250,000 and get to work at a restaurant of Ramsay’s choosing.
Ratings were down last season, but Fox still extended its partnership with the celebrity chef. Season 20 of Hell’s Kitchen averaged a 0.61 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.47 million viewers. It was down by 18% in the demographics and down by 8% in live viewership and same day ratings from the season before it.
These numbers do not account for the binge watchers, I’m sure there were more viewers than what was accounted for. People love this show (and Ramsay) so it’s not a surprise it has been renewed once again.
