Renowned professional ballroom dancer Koko Iwasaki, has recently asked fellow Dancing With The Stars pro Peta Murgatroyd to be her bridesmaid. The two dancers have been friends for several years and have shared the stage on numerous occasions. However, this time, they’ll be sharing a walk down the aisle at Iwasaki’s wedding.

Murgatroyd posted a video of herself opening a box from Iwasaki on her Instagram stories. Inside were several styled candles, a handmade glass, and a handwritten invitation that read, “Will you be my bridesmaid?”
“Don’t make me cry right now. Oh my god, you’re gonna make me cry! Oh my god, I love you so much,” Murgatroyd said.
Murgatroyd was overcome with joy and happiness and she tearily embraced Iwasaki as she accepted. The friendship between Iwasaki and Murgatroyd has been well-documented over the years, with both dancers often sharing photos and videos of themselves together on social media. It was no surprise, then, when Iwasaki asked Murgatroyd to be her bridesmaid.

“Still feeling the high of celebrating love in a room full of friends who are basically family” Iwasaki said. “But in all seriousness, I didn’t really have family gatherings growing up because it’s just me, my parents and my brother, so this is all really exciting for me!”
